Home Zone – Simple Automation and Protection for Your Mac
Home Zone is a beautifully useful application that allows you to assign a number of nifty actions based on certain triggers. These can include changing your location based on Airport network joined, or even cooler, enabling your screensaver password or locking your keychains when it can’t see a particular Bluetooth device. The latter allows you to link, say, the cell phone in your pocket to your computer so when the phone is out of range, your computer knows you’re not around and password-protects to prevent unauthorized access. And it has Growl support, in case you can’t live without. It’s a brand new (February 7) program under active development, and I’m looking forward to future releases.
